Jenson Wins at last
Finally in Hungary Jenson Button wins his first race . It was not a masterful display - leading from the front all the way to the chequered flag. He had to rely on the weather and the 'help' of a couple of rivals who seemed to decide that the weekend was not for them. Rain in Hungary at the time of the GP is unheard of. This is the first time it has ever happened so we had a race of drying track and tyre speculation. Both Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher had two second penalties for dangerous driving during the practice and qualifying so they were not at the front of the grid. Neither was Jenson, after an engine change penalty. Alonso lead for much of the GP, after Räikkönen crashed into a back marker, but the first failure of his car this year put him out. Schumacher was on the wrong tyres and stayed out too long, so was passed by others - racing drivers never learn! Anyway in these situations the ones who survive can win.
Congratulations to Jenson!
An exciting Hungarian GP for once!
