Accident!

Last night we had a very strange telephone call.
"Hello", I started with, as I do these days.
"Is that Andy?"
"No"
"Is there an Andy there"
"Yes"
"Does he know someone called X"
"Yes"
"X has been involved in an accident, the ambulance is on its way!"
The scene was just down the road from us. X had driven into a parked car, and very nearly gone through the windscreen. When we arrived, we could do little to help as the professionals were already dealing with the situation. I felt like a spare part! I would rather have had something useful to do! X is OK which is quite amazing considering the damage done to the cars.

As always in these situations we think of the bad things that could have happened, and we give thanks to God that none of them did.
