Now I'm all out of synchronization with real time - sorry to confuse you.
The 18th B'day party went very well, only one or two of the guests consumed too much of the brewed beverage on offer, and one at least has lost the coat off his back as a result. The guy who runs the place complemented us on the good natured event, and that everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It the best one we've had for ages!. It was nice to see all those people - most of whom I didn't know. There were some minor disappointments, like the girlfriend refusing a drink, but then ....

Christmas Party - Party on ...
Yesterday was a day off.
Yesterday was also very busy, I could have had an easier day at work. First I got all the things I needed to set up the games, and finished the quiz (http://www.familygames.com/features/quizzes/xmasquiz.html) and the memory test. When I tried the quiz on Mike he scored 4 - try it, its not at all easy. Then off to Tescos, with Mike, and more expense that I expected. He got an early Christmas present, which he will pay me back for. Home for the cooking and a rush to get everything cooked and get it all transported to church. Only one Pizza let behind (no storage), and one lot of overcooked food.
Setup went well, games went well, biscuit making went well, and they all had an enjoyable evening, so far as I can tell. At the end I wasn't as shattered as usual, because there was no commuting involved in the day.
26 Children in all enjoyed the party. 6 were new to SkakenUp! this year. No God slot - real meaning of Christmas is just not going to work tonight.
Please pray for all these children, and their friends, that they would find some sort of real meaning in their lives. Mostly they seem content to run around and throw a ball to each other, but that won't last them into adult hood. I think they would still be running if I'd let them, they certainly showed no signs of going home.
Here's the difference between boys and girls at this age

Memory game
- - boys don't try.
- - girls get together, split the task and get a perfect score!!!
- - girls attempt is not very good, but is sold quite hard.
- - boys are very inventive and use a shoe to make it stand up, and so won the round.
