Here's my latest sermon. Thanks to Liz for some very useful technical feedback. I've also had some other interesting comments about this one, so I'm not sure if it quite achieved it's aims. One this it may have achieved is something that wasn't said, it has made people realise that they can be more thankful for things, and that being thankful, makes you more thankful.
I find this is generally true of any character trait that you would like to develop. If you want to be a more thankful, prayerful, caring, loving, hard working, (or whatever) person, then you first have to decide to start being thankful, prayerful, caring, loving, hard working, (or whatever), then you have to 'do' being thankful, prayerful, caring, loving, hard working, (or whatever), and slowly it will become part of your nature.
This is, at least partly, due to God's grace to us.
