Today I was licensed as a Reader in the Church of England. I have been working towards this for many years. I first started in the early '90's, but was unable to complete the course. Now, I have been licensed. The service went very smoothly, everything worked just as it should. I had been worried about walking in Robes, but had heard so many horror stories from various people that I thought I could never have such an experience. So I relaxed and enjoyed it. The singing in the packed Cathedral was amazing. To hear so many people praising God was incredible.
Jo and Liz did a wonderful job of catering for a few friends (29) who came to have lunch afterwards in the church hall. It was lovely to have people from the church, my family, and some old friends come to visit.
God has blessed us today, and we are very thankful, but more of that tomorrow.
