How DID I get into this industry?

Brought my daughter an MP3 player for her Birthday, its supposed to play MP3s and WMAs. MP3s are fine, WMAs don't play. Its a good brand as well - "Creative Labs". So now I'm sitting here waiting for a ton of downloads and firmware etc to install.

Then in my e-mail I have the "How do I read MS Publisher files without Publisher" Answer (so far as I can tell is "You Don't". When will Microsoft learn? Take a look at Adobe there's a good example of a standard that works.

The firmware program won't recognise the device! So the firmware cna't be upgraded.
