At home it is difficult to describe Sunday as a day of rest. We are busy with church in the morning and sometimes the afternoon too. There is a timetable to follow. Babies do not follow timetables, Robbie eats when he is hungry. No, make that screams when he is hungry - that baby crying sound that is so annoying. It's like that so that it can't be ignored. The last couple of days he has found settling harder, so it was a while before we were ready. We walked up to the gas station on the Opelika Road., having put Robbie in the baby harness, where he sleeps so soundly. We needed bread, but the gas station did not sell perishable food. The next nearest place is Earth Fare, but to get there we would have to cross the Opelika Road, a four lane highway. This must be done carefully, more carefully than a normal road because the distance is much greater. We used the central turning lane like a traffic island.
We picked up lunch at Panera Bread and then went into Earth Fare. Most of their food is organic and much of it is specialised, so we bought low sodium preservative free bread for example. We also bought

which proved to be a bad idea as I ate a lot of them during the day. I still couldn't find unsalted nuts though.
In the evening we went to the Irish Bred Pub where we had a very nice meal, and a Louisiana beer called Abita Macchiato which is like a mild, but with a stronger flavour and more CO2. Robbie had again taken his time to settle, so Robert kept him in the car and changed his diaper before he came in to the pub.
The service was very good which is unusual for us, it seems.
