Yesterday the 10th bishop of Chelmsford, The Rt Rev Stephen Cottrell, was installed. You can see his introductory video below.

The bishops from all the linked diocese around the world were invited to the service. At Christ Church our connection with Ciamanda school in the diocese of Embu, in Kenya meant that bishop Henry Kathii was our guest this morning. He spoke on Matthew 24:36-40 and left me with one memorable question - "Are you lost in the Church?". Meaning, are you focussed on working for the Church and you don't have a relationship with Jesus. A very good question when talking about the return of Christ - the theme of the first Sunday in Advent.
