This afternoon I went for a walk, a stroll really. Down the road to deliver some paperwork, back up the hill to visit the bank, and in the supermarket to get bread. I, of course, did none of those things. I just walked. Jo did all the 'tasks'. It was good to get out of the house. I had been doing the caged tiger act, and pacing around the room, up and down the stairs. It was so good to be out in the cold fresh air on a bright winters afternoon. We heard a very noisy robin, then spotted him on top of a post. Down hill was fine. The extra breathing required to walk up hill is not great, but enough to cause movement.
By the time we arrived home my neck was stiff on the right side, there was pain throughout my shoulder, and I just wanted to sit down. I have to learn to take things more slowly. That is going to be a hard lesson.
