2 days in Lincoln

We travelled to Lincoln on Tuesday to see a friend who is recuperating from a serious operation. The journey was uneventful and the car survived. We stayed in a small guest house on the other side of the castle, and walked across the old city to our friend. Most of the time was spent with our friend - helping to get chores done, and generally brighten the place up a bit, but mainly just to be there as company. Today there will have been (while we were travelling back) another assessment to determine the need for support staff. It was obvious to us that daily support was needed, but Social Services will always try to minimize the amount of support given. Still we did get out and do some shopping, as it was our job to provide the evening meal.
