I know the plans I have for you ...

The verse I received to memorise sometime last year - was I being prepared for the situation I now find my self in?

“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

  1. Peter - I had exactly the same verse when I out of work AND when I was thinking about vocation. It still resonates whenever I stress about the future (which is a fair amount).

I also had Romans 8:28 : "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Those verses have stood me in good stead the last few years.

All the best to you and yours,

    Paul W.
