Sunday, February 17, 2008 @ 8:00 & 10:00 @ Christ Church Billericay

Today, I preached at the 8am service - robes and all - for the first time. Here's the text of the sermon, which is as near as you can get to it because the 8am sermons are not recorded. We did at least manage to speak through microphones, so anyone requiring the hearing loop would have been able to hear - that's another first for the 8am, I think. After the service I enjoyed breakfast in the hall. This is becoming a more popular activity, and I for one am very thankful for the people who provide the breakfast. They do an excellent job. The only shame was no sausages for me, due to the elevated cholesterol level.

Then it was straight on to lead at the 10:00am. Mark was preaching, so I didn't have to have two versions of the sermon. Marks message was spot on, and he had some very interesting things to say about the disciples - very thought provoking. Christ Church's sermons are available from the web-site
