Stinking Bishop

Along with Duddleswell and St George are the three cheeses I bought on our visit to Middle Farm last week. Stinking Bishop is a soft cheese, even runny - like camenbert, with a reasonably mild flavour, the rind is soaked in perry. St. George is also a soft goat's cheese, although slightly less runny, but it has a really pungent taste, and is one of the very few cheeses I have tried and not liked. Duddleswell is a hard sheep's cheese, with quite a sharp taste, that reminds me of something, but I haven't worked out what yet!

Cheese, and the sampling of the many varieties that now exist, is one of life's little pleasures.
