Sunday, December 3rd @ 10:00 at Christ Church

Back to my own home church. I was geeted with "Didn't you used to come to this church once?" by one of the older members of the congregation. "Yes, when you were a young man", I replied. Its that sort of banter that you can't get (or can't stand) unles this is where you belong. Despite the fact that I had trouble finding somewhere to sit (Don't cheer - there were fewer seats than usual.) this is MY church, MY church family. All the problems that it has I know well, and thats true of the good things also. You notice things you 'hadn't seen before' when you come back after some time away.
  • What a relief it was to have songs on the screen, and not to have to hold and follow a hymn book.
  • How nice it was to have different sounds to different songs.
  • The quietness of the music - that doesn't drown out my singing - have to do something about that.
  • How lucky we are to have a sermon that can develop an idea, or at least start to.
Go somewhere else and see what you think (there will be good things there too), then come back and look at your own church, and make a list of a few things that you think are good.
