Fernando Alonso is the F1 Champion for the second time. Only 6 drivers have achieved back to back championships. It's remarkable that he is the youngest F1 championship winner ever. Congratulations to Renault and Alonso. 2006 has been one of the more interesting seasons, as we looked at the early form it appeared Renault were untouchable, but Ferrari came back strongly, and but for some unfortuneate incidents may well have overtaken Renault. Other teams that are worth a mention:
BMW - did better than expected in their transition year
Honda - strong at the end, watch them next season
and the team I support - Mclaren - the worst season for a long time with no wins.
