Picnic in the Park

Church was fuller than usual as often happens when a new vicar arrives, well for the first Sunday anyway. The service went well, particularly the worship, which was very uplifting. Warner did a great job of preaching, and gave us a good message, which followed on nicely from what the Bishop said on Tuesday.


After that we went to Lake Meadows park for the picnic followed by the CTB service. It was a lovely day, eating, chatting, and listening to the band preparing. The sun was hot and the air still, the music and singing must have carried quite a way. There weren't as many of us as there had been in the past, but that wasn't really a problem.
