Riding Lights @ Emmanuel

Saturday was an excellent night out. Riding lights have lost none of their edge! The drama is hardhitting, some times funny, sometimes fun, sometimes very serious. I especially liked the update on the prodigal son, set in a poor inner city area, where the party at the end included the microwave exploding, and a visit from the police. There were retellings of fairy tales - magic beans in Africa, and also of more serious tales - a girl who self harms, and people who live on a rubbish tip!
If you go to see them - stay awake (as if you couldn't!) its all action, with the actors playing different parts (there are 4 of them only) and sometimes the same part in different times you will need to keep your wits about you.
