much much later

1) Interview with a vicar
Had a wide ranging discussion of this, that and the other - all sorts of stuff. Found I had a great enthusiasm for the whole set Pathfinders --> Pathfinder Cell --> ShakenUp!. Started to see it as a whole and a single ministry. Tried to talk about 'ministry for life', or answer the question "What was I put on this earth for?" but somehow it never got discussed. The question that was raised was "Do I need an accredited ministry?" This is a long and hard question, because the Why? Must also be considered and answered. I think something like a SWOT table is required.
The next stage here is to talk with the local vocations advisor. I rang him yesterday - he wasn't in.

2) No Half Term
As the EMEA support manager is on holiday, I'm in charge of escalated support, and 'on-call' for the role from 13:00-18:00 each work day. I could not get anyone to cover, so I could not have a day off, so the Shakens didn't get their day out. Disappointing for me, and I expect I'll hear just how disappointing it was for them later. The letter went out on Monday (14th), with the apology, and a programme - which has now changed.

3) Plans for mission.
On Sunday we received our mission information, and guess what - there are things added that should have been on the programme. Also there are some activities set up for Red Nose Day (which is a cell night) so more changes to the programme. - All good fun, and I hope a very enjoyable evening BUT!

4) CCS
Our new module a Forest Gate on the English Reformation, is lead by a local historian, and a great enthusiast. Although he spoke for almost an hour in 2 slots it was fascinating. Only downside was waiting 25 mins for a train on Stratford station (22:02 cancelled) in a blizzard.

5) Announcement
Finally it's announced. The account we are working on 50% of the time is being insourced. Lots of meetings and possibly a new paymaster.
